Today we all received some very devastating and heartbreaking news. The man, the myth, the Legend, Stan Lee, passed away today at the age of 95.

The writer, editor, and publisher was responsible for many iconic characters such as Spider Man, Thor, X-men, Iron Man, Black Panther, the Fantastic Four and many more. Stan Lee has been legendary for a very, very long time. He started in business in 1939. Long before the marvel characters he created made it to the movies, they appeared on television as animated characters, such as the animated Spiderman was on ABC from 1967 to 1970.

Not only was he a writer, editor, and publisher of Marvel Comics, but also was a real life superhero. I had the pleasure of briefly meeting him once, and he was feisty, full of jokes and smiles, and an exceptional amount of kindness. He pushed through pneumonia for a really long time, and still managed to show up at conventions for as long as he possibly could to be there for all of his fans that waited for hours to meet him. Anyone that had the opportunity to meet this kind hearted human being was so lucky. I have never heard a single bad thing about him, always only good things.

In 2002, Stan Lee published an autobiography called, “Excelsior! The Amazing life Of Stan Lee.” It is something that I did not get the chance to read yet, but will definitely be picking up soon.

Rest In Peace to you Stan Lee, We will all miss you but thank you for everything that you have created for us. When I have kids one day, they will know about every single character that Lee created and I will make sure that his legacy lives on.

Ultimate Icon

Who would have ever guessed that a young girl from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil would become one of the highest paid models in the world and carry the globally recognized brand Victoria’s Secret for almost twenty years?! Thursday, the days of all days the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show (2018), this iconic model walked down the Victoria’s Secret runway for her last time.

From embodying the ultimate athlete/model through her extensive workout plans and being known for boxing as her favorite form of cardio. As well as possessing a strong athletic build. She has also inspired many young models today, including yours truly. Personally speaking, she has been my role model as far back as I can remember. Not only as a model, but also as a womanly figure to look up to as she holds a mystique and confidence that is all her own. I aspire to attain that. Her charisma that lights up the Victoria’s Secret runway is and will remain untouchable as many models use the same “poses” and facial expressions she has done over the years

ie: point to her chest then up and around to form a heart with both hands ending by pointing to the camera as if to touch the audience at home.

Adriana Lima, you are the ultimate icon! For me and many others. We wish you farewell from the Victoria’s Secret Runway. But your legacy will forever continue as the upcoming models hold you within them.

Christmas In A Box

Let me take you back to when you were little…

It’s Christmas morning and you wake up with such joy and excitement because you knew Santa came during the night! You rush downstairs and see that under the tree there are big boxes wrapped in fun colored wrapping paper and bows. You can not even control yourself so, you begin screaming and jumping for joy and begin ripping open all the gifts.

For millions of children all across the globe this is not their reality and would have never dreamed of such a day. They do not even see one gift for Christmas…no fancy wrapping paper, no exciting gifts, and most do not even a pair of new socks.

All things we take for granted.

Thanks to Samaritans Purse “Operation Christmas Child” millions of children can now receive some Christmas Joy and all through a thing so simple as a SHOE BOX!

Head to Samaritanspurse.org and donate now to help send a box of joy all across the globe. Thanks to your donation a child will now be able to experience a taste of Christmas and the pure excitement and joy you once had.

For the past 25 years, we have been collecting shoe-boxes filled with gifts and delivering them to children in need around the world. Each box is an opportunity for a boy or girl to experience the love of God in a tangible way and hear the gospel. Many boys and girls who receive shoe-box gifts also participate in our follow-up discipleship program, The Greatest Journey, which teaches them how to faithfully follow Christ and share Him with others. Will you prayerfully consider joining us in this exciting ministry?” – Franklin Graham, President, Samaritans Purse

Operation Christmas Child gives you the ability to give to children all over the world…just like Santa! (but without the reindeer)

Visit Samaritanspurse.org to help spread love and joy all over the world this Christmas. You can even build an online shoe-box for $25 or you can donate any price amount.
